Okeechobee Discount Drug's Migration to PharmASSIST ROBOTx Yields Real Results
Florida Independent Lauds “Plug-n-Play” Implementation and Increased Throughput

JOHNSON CITY, NY - July 20, 2006 - Okeechobee Discount Drug had a goal of increasing their prescription filling capacity and increasing their cash flow by processing more prescriptions in a shorter amount of time. An Innovation client since 1998, the Florida independent was well aware of Innovation’s scalable PharmASSIST® product suite and planned their migration path from counting technology to PharmASSIST ROBOTx™ months in advance.

Okeechobee Discount Drug "scaled up" from its PharmASSIST Symphony+ System, comprised of two cabinets (100 dispensers) and the Symphony® workflow system, to PharmASSIST ROBOTx with 140 dispensers and the Symphony workflow system.

As a former PharmASSIST Symphony+ user, Okeechobee Discount Drug was filling on average 300-350 prescriptions daily. With their migration to PharmASSIST ROBOTx, the store increased their capacity twofold. Comments Nelson, "With ROBOTx, our daily count is way up and we’re even more efficient than before. We’ve basically doubled our throughput. Not only is my staff happier, they’re free to do other tasks that generate income, and they’ve started to take a genuine interest in the business."
