Innovation Associates Continues Success with Independent Pharmacies
New York City and Kentucky-based Independents Laud PharmASSIST SmartCabinet Footprint and Quality Features

JOHNSON CITY, NY - November 14, 2002 - Continuing a string of recent successes in the independent pharmacy market, Innovation Associates announces that two more independents have purchased and are successfully using the firm's PharmASSIST SmartCabinet System. 90th Street Pharmacy in New York City and Jeff's Prescription Shop in Elizabethtown, Kentucky both selected the space-friendly SmartCabinet System to address their rising prescription volumes and to enhance the quality control in their pharmacies.

"With my entire store having only around 1100 square feet of space, one of the key factors to me was PharmASSIST's small footprint. We installed the two cabinets with 98 dispensers in 56 inches of wall space," says Chris Bassolino, owner of 90th Street Pharmacy, an institution located on Manhattan's Upper East Side since 1890. "Since having this system, we've definitely improved the accuracy and speed of our dispensing, and I now have much more time to focus on my customers and on other aspects of my business."

According to Brad Mills, owner of Jeff's Prescription Shop, "I looked at several dispensing systems and really liked PharmASSIST's compact size, quality control, on-site drug changeovers, and cross contamination prevention features. The system's simultaneous counting has also been invaluable especially during our peak periods." Mills purchased a single SmartCabinet System of 48 dispensers and is already considering upgrading to a second cabinet. "My staff is extremely pleased with the system. Innovation Associates also recently held a two-day open house at McCracken's Pharmacy in Waynesburg, PA to showcase their PharmASSIST Symphony+ System, the firm's automated dispensing and workflow management solution. Independents from western Pennsylvania and Ohio attended the event and were given first-hand demonstrations of the Symphony+ System. Attendees also had the opportunity to speak with McCracken's staff about the system and how it has brought order to McCracken's dispensing process.
