Innovation to Unveil Next Generation of PharmASSIST JOHNSON CITY, NY – August 5, 2009 – Innovation, makers of PharmASSIST® pharmacy automation solutions, today announced they will unveil the next generation of the PharmASSIST SmartCabinet® counting technology at the upcoming NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference to be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA on August 8-11. The original PharmASSIST SmartCabinet, which debuted to the retail pharmacy market in 1999, is used by pharmacies throughout the community, chain, institutional, and government pharmacy markets. The new version of the PharmASSIST SmartCabinet incorporates a high-resolution, touch-screen display, a tuck-away keyboard and mouse drawer, and 46 independently operating tablet-and-capsule dispensers, which count prescriptions simultaneously. The counting technology maintains its industry-leading smallest footprint (3 square feet), highest individual dispenser capacity (800cc), unique on-site dispenser calibration, and computer-controlled, locked hopper doors. As a pharmacy’s volume grows, they can expand the filling capacity of their PharmASSIST SmartCabinet system by adding individual Standard Cabinets, each with 50 dispensers and the same small footprint. Pharmacies always have the option to migrate their existing SmartCabinet system to Innovation’s PharmASSIST Symphony+ (counting technology and workflow software) or to PharmASSIST ROBOTx® (robotic dispensing). “The ‘plug-and-play’ SmartCabinet has been one of our core offerings for a full decade. To build on this success, we listen closely to our customers and continuously enhance our products to help pharmacies become even more efficient, safer, and cost effective,” said Mary Reno, CEO, Innovation. “The SmartCabinet’s improved ergonomics is a great example of a true customer-driven product enhancement.” About Innovation Associates
